Vein Treatments in Cambridge and Peterborough

'Cambridgeshire Agenda' features vein treatments at BodyLaser Clinic - see here

Thread veins, Facial veins, Spider veins, and Leg veins; unsightly veins and blemishes can be treated in all parts of the body. At BodyLaser Clinic laser light is used to erase red or blue veins - without needles or injections. In addition, we are one of a few clinics in the UK to have the Syris Light illumination system. This cross-polarized, magnified, halogen illuminated device allows us to clearly visualize even your finest blood vessels, including those that cause unsightly redness but which individually are invisible to the naked eye. Getting rid of veins is safe and easy. Laser vein treatment is available at our Cambridge and Peterborough clinics.

What does laser treatment for veins feel like?

At BodyLaser Clinic our lasers cool the skin before and after each pulse of laser light. Most people experience a slight sting but this is quickly alleviated by the skin cooling system. After the laser treatment pain is minimal to nonexistent. You can resume most normal activities immediately.

What types of veins can be treated by laser?

At our laser clinics in Cambridge and Peterborough we can treat both red veins and blue veins with excellent results. Small facial veins (telangiectasia) and spider veins can be treated quickly without bruising - often one treatment is sufficient for these. Large blue leg veins can also be treated with excellent results. In men and women unwanted red blood vessels on the nose and face, including those associated with acne rosacea and with sun damage, are successfully treated. Cherry hemangiomas (sometimes called "Campbell de Morgan spots", which are little red dots on the trunk, arms and legs), and spider hemangiomas (sometimes called "broken capillaries" or "broken blood vessels") on the face , upper chest and other parts of the body are other commonly treated lesions. How does laser treatment compared to alternative methods?

The primary benefits of laser removal of unwanted blood vessels are:

  • Larger areas may be treated with less discomfort than with sclerotherapy or vein stripping.
  • Our special CoolGlide vascular laser combines speed, comfort and long lasting results.
  • Works on any area of the body where you wish to have blood vessels removed.
  • Small blood vessels which are difficult or impossible to treat with sclerotherapy respond very well to the CoolGlide vascular laser.

Who is suitable for laser vein removal?

Adults of all ages are suitable for vein treatment. You are invited to book a Free Consultation to have us assess your needs and answer your questions. Please contact our Cambridge or Peterborough clinics.

What are the possible side effects?

Although most clients report few if any side effects from laser treatment, slight reddening or temporary swelling of the skin in the treated area is possible. This disappears quickly. Leg veins may exhibit slight bruising for some days after treatment.
