Sculptra treatment -
Replacing lost volume in the face
Laser Clinics Cambridge & Peterborough
"Sculptra has made my face look so much better now..."
Sculptra has been called "The Liquid Facelift" because it stimulates deep tissue regeneration and restores lost collagen to rejuvenate the face with results that have lasted over two years. This facial enhancement treatment acts in a different way to traditional dermal fillers. Sculptra (poly-L-lactic acid) stimulates your skin to produce its own collagen over the following weeks and months. This results in a gradual restoration of facial volume to reduce lines, wrinkles and sagging skin. Sculptra is designed to provide a more youthful appearance by treating the underlying causes of facial ageing, naturally and gradually.
Cosmetic injections of Sculptra can be used to add volume in the temple area of the upper face. In the mid face region Sculptra is used to treat nasolabial folds above the mouth and it is also used for cheek augmentation. In the lower face Sculptra is injected to treat marionette lines below the mouth and it is also used to improve the jaw line. On average two to three treatment sessions are needed. The interval between treatments is normally 6 to 8 weeks.
Sculptra is not designed to be used as a lip filler. For lip enhancement other dermal fillers such as Juvederm and Restylane fillers are used instead.
