Botox (botulinum toxin)

Botox, Dysport and Azzalure are very popular treatments for softening frown lines and 'Crows feet'. They are made from the same neurotoxin (botulinum toxin type A). They work by relaxing the muscles that create active frown lines on the forehead and crows feet around the eyes so the overlying skin stays smooth and crease-free. The most popular treatment areas are the frown and worry lines of the forehead and the laughter lines around the eyes.

Botulinum toxins are injected using very fine needles in very precise locations on the face. Discomfort is minimal and the treatment is over in a matter of minutes. After three or four days the effects are seen with the full benefits becoming visible up to ten days after treatment. The results last for around three to five months before repeat treatments are required.

Botox for excess underarm sweating - Hyperhidrosis

Botox neurotoxin treatment helps control the symptoms of severe underarm sweating (Hyperhydrosis) by blocking the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate the sweat glands. When the chemical signals are blocked the severe sweating stops. Botox injections are used to prevent the production of excessive sweat in the treated areas only. Sweat continues to be produced elsewhere. The effect last for approximately 6 months. Hyperhidrosis treatment is available at our Cambridge and Peterborough clinics.

Juvéderm

Juvederm can be used for many different purposes; as a wrinkle filler to reduce the appearance of lines and creases. It can also be used to restore volume in the cheeks and chin area and to enhance features such as lips and cheeks. Skin rejuvenation treatments with Juvéderm are quick, simple, comfortable and non-surgical. The treatment involves subtle and strategically placed Juvéderm injections under the skin to restore and boost individual facial features. It adds volume and definition to facial features while keeping the appearance looking natural, symmetrical and well-balanced. Restylane

Restylane is the world's most popular dermal filler. It is used to treat those permanent frown lines and creases that are still visible when your face is relaxed. Restylane was approved by the US FDA in 2003 to treat moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles, in 2011 it got FDA approval for Lip Augmentation. Restylane is a clear, non-animal, biodegradable gel based on hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in your skin. Its job is to help provide fullness and elasticity. Overtime, skin loses hyaluronic acid and as it diminishes, skin loses volume, increasing the chances for wrinkles and folds to appear. Restylane is injected into the skin with a very fine needle. It lifts and adds volume to the areas being treated. The effect lasts for around 6 months.
