Botox, Sculptra, and Restylane

Botox

Botox is a very popular treatment for softening active frown lines. The treatment works by relaxing the muscles which create frown lines. These muscles no longer contract so the overlying skin stays smooth and crease-free. Botox is injected using a very fine needle in very precise locations on the face. After two or three days the effects are seen with the full benefits becoming visible up to seven days after treatment. The results last for around three to five months before repeat treatments are required. Botox is also used to treat excess sweating (hyperhydrosis).

Sculptra

Sculptra is a simple, injectable volumising treatment that works by stimulating the build up of the body’s natural collagen to help smooth out lines and wrinkles. It also helps to restore lost facial volume to give you a fuller, younger-looking face. Two or three Sculptra treatments are usually required. Once your treatment is complete, the results can last 2 - 3 years. Please call our Cambridge or Peterborough clinics.

Restylane

Restylane is used to treat those permanent frown lines and creases that are still visible when your face is relaxed. It is a crystal-clear, non-animal, biodegradable gel based on a natural substance, called hyaluronic acid. Once Restylane is injected into the skin with an ultra-fine needle, it lifts and adds volume to the areas being treated. The effect lasts for around 6 months.
