Laser Hair Removal - all skin types

Do you want silky smooth skin? Laser hair removal is the most popular laser treatment worldwide. All parts of the body can be treated effectively, including the face, arms, underarms and back. Sensitive areas such as chest, nipples and bikini line can also be treated. The treatment safely eliminates hundreds of hair follicles instantly - leaving your skin silky smooth!

How does it work?

Our high quality laser equipment produces very short pulses of concentrated light. Each pulse lasts only a few milliseconds. Without damaging the surrounding skin, the light penetrates down to the hair follicle where it is absorbed. Each laser pulse heats a large number of hair follicles and ultimately destroys their potential for regrowth.

How many treatments are needed?

Each treatment will reduce the number of hairs growing in the treated area. On average six treatment sessions are needed for optimal long-term results. Each individual’s requirements are different and so we provide a free consultation to explain the procedure and answer any questions you may have.

What does laser hair removal feel like?

Each laser pulse lasts for only a few milliseconds, it is so quick that only a mild sting is felt. The procedure is usually tolerated well.

Is everyone suitable for laser hair removal?

We use expensive, high quality, laser equipment that can treat all skin types. Your suitability for treatment can be assessed during a consultation with one of our Laser Nurses. People with certain medical conditions are not suitable for treatment. Laser and IPL treatment does not work on grey or blond hair.

What happens after the treatment?

Immediately after laser hair removal treatment the area may appear slightly red but this usually disappears quickly. You can return to your normal activities right away. The use of sunscreen is recommended on any treated areas exposed to the sun.

Are there side effects with laser hair removal?

Side effects are rare. They can include a slight reddening which can look like sunburn and may last for some hours.

How long do the results of laser hair removal last?

Treatment with a high quality laser system causes permanent reduction in the number of hairs growing in the treated area. Clinical studies that have followed patients for 15 months after completing two laser hair removal treatments have shown the reduction in hair growth was stable for the duration of that time. We estimate that occasional ‘maintenance treatments’ may be needed eventually.
